R&B/Hip Hop Music Sales Down 22%
 

Soundscan (Nielsen Soundscan) has reported R&B/Hip Hop music sales have declined by 22.4% in the first half of 2006, in comparison with sales from the first half of 2005.

2006 - 53.8 million units sold (first 6 months)
2005 - 69.3 million units sold (first 6 months)

Albums due out later this years leave room for playing catch-up, which include releases from Beyonce, Ludacris, OutKast, Janet Jackson and the Game.
